Position Overview:
The successful candidate will be a passionate educator and a dynamic leader, responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of our Cambridge curriculum. This role is pivotal in ensuring the highest standards of teaching and learning, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and spiritually nurturing our students to achieve their God-given potential.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Curriculum Development & Leadership:
a. Lead the design, review, and enhancement of a robust and dynamic curriculum for IGCSE & AS/A Level in Science, Mathematics, and Computing subjects.
b. Ensure curriculum alignment with Cambridge International standards and the school’s Christian mission.
2. Instructional Leadership & Coaching:
a. Mentor, coach, and lead the department teachers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
b. Observe classroom teaching and provide constructive, data-informed feedback to improve pedagogical practices.
3. Academic Excellence & Innovation:
a. Promote the use of diverse, innovative teaching methodologies, educational technologies, and resources to create an engaging and effective learning environment.
b. Analyze student performance data to identify trends, implement strategic interventions, and drive academic improvement.
4. Collaboration & Communication:
a. Work closely with the academic leadership team and teaching staff to ensure vertical and horizontal curriculum alignment.
b. Serve as a key point of communication for parents and the school community regarding curriculum matters, student progress, and program developments.
